What would you like to know about the Armenian Apostolic Church? What is the attitude of the Armenian Apostolic Church to this or that social problem?Maybe you have some private questions to which you would like to receive answers, and however, consider inappropriate to appeal to the clergyman personally. It is already one year that anyone may address questions to the clergy and receive answers to those questions by means of e-mail. Write to us and you will receive answers to all questions interesting you.
In the course of one year the Internet Program “MY PRIEST” of the official website of Araratian Patriarchal Diocese with the help of the clergy has answered nearly 1000 letters from 32 countries throughout the world.
The e-mail address also gives the chance to send anonymous letters, which is important for the letter-writers especially if their letters are of private nature.
The goal of the program is to provide close contacts between the clergy and the people. Receiving answers to the questions interesting them, many people wish to meet the clergy answering their questions.
The program is realized with the blessing of the Diocesan Primate, His Grace Archbishop Navasard Ktchoyan. Sponsors of the program are Mr. and Mrs. Vahe and Irina Haroutunian. Author of the program is Eliza Manukian, Responsible for the Press Department of Araratian Patriarchal Diocese.
Letter-writers and visitors of the page have the chance to be acquainted with the activity of various structures of Araratian Patriarchal Diocese and especially of the Youth Association functioning under the auspices of the Diocesan Headquarters Church of St. Sarkis. As the result of the functioning of the program many young people become members of the Youth Association. Moreover, one of the new members of the Youth Association founded a branch in the village Mekhchian of Artashat region.
TV versions of the Program “My Priest” are broadcasted by the TV Company “Shoghakat” and “Armenakob”. By the suggestion of one of the letter-writers a prayer page was opened in the site.
From now on the Armenian version of the site will be translated and presented also in Russian and English.
Interviews on various topics interesting letter-writers are always placed in the site. Clergymen and public, political figures, intellectuals, scientists and artists parallelly express their opinions and viewpoints on one and the same topic.
The visitors of the Program “My Priest” are also informed about various spiritual courses, pilgrimages, festive events, youth meetings and guests. Basing on the questions the Press Department of the Diocese prepares and issues press releases.
